An attractively toned facing head Nomos from Kroton

BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 400-325 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.86 g, 6 h). Head of Hera Lakinia facing slightly to the right, wearing stephane ornamented with palmettes. Rev. [ΚΡ]ΟΤΩΝΙ-ΑΤΑN Youthful Herakles seated to left on a rock draped with his lionskin, holding a one-handled cup in his right hand and resting his left on his club; below, bow. HN Italy 2167. SNG ANS 371 (same dies). Attractively toned. The obverse struck somewhat off center and with the usual die break and a few small delaminations, otherwise, very fine.
